My little craft zone

I don't know about your house, but at our house with baseball bags, shoes, rubbermaid containers, bikes, skateboards, music equipment and so on, we find it very diffcult to keep our garage neat and tidy!
Since we don't have a spare room that  I can use as an office/craft room, I have to carve out a little "zone" in the garage.
Last sunday John and I straightened up the garage and I started to re organize my craft supplies and tidy up my craft area.  John also set me up with some items for entertainment while I am out there.
Can you see the little TV?  He also hooked up a DVD player since we don't have cable in the garage and put my little stereo up there too.
And I am happy to report that with the re organization and my inspiration from the Stampin' Up meeting last Saturday I have been creating!! I put the Along Came Polly DVD in and get to crafting!
Where do you get to craft?  Do you have some good organization tips?

Hope you are having a good week and have a fabulous weekend!
Be inspired to create!

4th of July Pinwheel Favor

Several of the Stampin' Up demonstrators at Patty Bennet's quarterly meeting brought in samples of cards and other items they created with Stampin' Up products.  One of my favorites was a little pinwheel bouquet made by Wendy Cranford.  I thought it was adorable and had to try to make one of my own! (The holder is made with the milk carton die cut with the top cut off. The pinwheels are 2" X 2" squares of card stock).   Julia sent me the link to Cindee Wilkinson's blog for a tutorial on the pinwheels. (they are so easy! you have to check out Cindee's tutorial) that was all I needed to put together this little 4th of July Favor!
If we were going to a BBQ on the 4th I would have made these for the tables, but we will be in Great America.  So I will have to wait to whip up a batch of these little cuties for another occassion! I have a baby shower coming up, stay tuned!

Enjoy the rest of your week!
Be inspired to create!

A lot of inspiration going on!!!!

Yesterday I attended my first quarterly Stampin' Up meeting hosted by Patty Bennett of
http://pattystamps.typepad.com/.  It was a great day of sharing and learning!!
I made these card fronts for swapping with the new Bitty Banner stamp set and the new card stock colors.
I swapped cards with 28 other creative Stampin' Up demonstrators!  That alone was worth the trip to Concord.  But I also enjoyed visiting with my dear friend Julia and her twin sister Judy.
We also made 5 projects and had a nice lunch!  It was a great day of crafting!!!

I was so inspired by all the cards I received in the trade!
So inspired that today my husband and I cleaned our garage and re organized my craft zone. He put a TV, DVD player, music player and a task light up for me! He is a sweetheart!

I hope you enjoyed the mild weather this weekend!
Funny, last weekend when we had our big double graduation party it was 106 degrees!  It was awful and this weekend it was nice and comfortable and breezy!

I will be back soon!

A Simple Card for Graduation And Stampin' up Fun!

Hi!  I hope you are having a good week!  I am having a busy one, but I do see some free evenings in my near future!  That means I can get back to the gym and back to my crafting!!!
I am very excited about crafting these days for 2 reasons.
Reason #1 -- I am going to my first Stampin' Up group quarterly workshop this Saturday!  I will be swapping cards with 33 other demonstrators!  I can't wait to see what all these creative people have come up with!  In addition, we will be learning some new techniques and making some projects with new tools!!!  I already feel inspired!
Reason #2 -- I am going to the Stampin' Up convention next month in Salt Lake City with my crafting buddies Julia, Judy and Dawn!  It is going to be so much fun!!! I am sure I will be blogging all about it when I get back!  I hope to share so many new creations after these 2 great events!!!!

Using a couple of new tools I made this monochromatic Congratulations card for a grad.
I used the vintage wallpaper embossing folder, the new Elegant Butterfly punch and the Bitty Banner stamp set to put this easy card together.
Enjoy the rest of your week and weekend!  Be back soon!

Votive embellishing for the party!

Hello!  Been a while since I have blogged. Life has been pretty busy for me lately!
I have lots of projects to work on, but with the kids baseball, softball and graduations, not much time for me to create!  However I do see some free time in the horizon!!

My daughter Valerie graduated from CSU Monterey Bay last month, and my niece Shelby graduated from high school last Friday.  (I am so proud of these young women!)
Our family is having a big party for them this Saturday.
I have put together some citronella votives for the party.
Stampin' Up's new catalog just came out June 1st and this cool Elegant Butterfly punch is one of the new items.  So I punched some pretty butterflies out and added a little rhinestone that has been colored with a sharpie and put them on the votive cups with a glue dot!
And there you have it a snazzy little candle holder!!!

I can't wait to start making more projects with all the new stamps and tools on my wish list!

Be back soon!  Enjoy your weekend and stay cool!  It is supposed to be over 100 degrees here on Saturday YUCK!!!!
