Hello! I hope you have had a good week! Been a little cooler and a bit wet this week, but it is supposed to be 80 degrees on Sunday here in Lodi CA. CRAZY!!

In my effort to get all of my most recent projects posted, here is something I put together last weekend.
Really getting my use out of the Micheal's $1.00 wood frames. One coat of white paint on this one. one. Added scrapbook paper for a background. Used Stampin' Up die cuts and punch for the layers and the bird.
Finished up with a bow and rose at the top corner and a stamp and rhinestone on the bottom corner.
Just a cute little happy bird decoration!

Hope you like the little bird art! Also hope you have a wonderful weekend!
Be back soon!

I know I haven't posted since last year. Oddly enough I have been making so many things for every holiday, but have failed to post. I won't catch up with Christmas and Valentine's day projects. However, I have lots of vintage inspired projects and Easter projects to share.

Let's start with the altered $1.00 frame purchased at Michaels. I simply put a coat of white paint on the frame. Then used paper, an embossing folder and embellishments to make this Easter egg decoration.

Next we have a decopuaged egg in a nest. The paper mâché egg and nest both came from Hobby Lobby. Finished this project off with glitter, linen thread and a rose.

Had so much fun with the eggs that I made a lot of them!

Come back tomorrow for another project!

Been in a very Patriotic mood lately. Even got flags painted on my fingernails today! :)
Today I have pics for you of a couple more goodies I made for the 4th of July and a little bit of decorating in my house.

Here is another twist on the stand up box. I like the crispness of this one!
For a stand up box you only need a paper cutter, a scoring tool and adhesive!
Used the Stampin' Up Perfect Pennants Bigz die for white scallop, the 1 3/4" scallop circle punch, 3/4" circle punch and a star punch purchased at Joannes I finished the box off.

Used the Petite Pocket Bigz die for the white envelope, stamped it with Cherry Cobbler and Night of Navy stars, then textured the stamped section with the Square lattice folder. Wrapped Cherry Cobbler bakers twine around the pocket a few times, and added a tag and shimmer star, filled with Twizzlers and some star wire purchased from the Dollar Tree. Simple, cute and sweet!

Here is our mantle, nothing fancy. Just a banner I made last year, some wooden stars decoupaged with patriotic napkins, an empty Ghirardelli tin and a couple of framed flags I found at a garage sale or thrift store. (I must be getting old because I can't remember exactly where I found them!)

Lastly in a cabinet in the kitchen we have an apothecary jar filled with stars and striped wrapped taffy and Tootsie rolls. Add an oak frame that I painted white and put a cute cupcake print in and added a little star pennant.

I hope I have inspired you to if nothing else, get a fingernail or toenail painted with a flag for the 4th of July! :)
Have a very Happy and Fun 4th!
I am still in full on 4th of July mode! My first batch of banners and favors are all gone! So I am on to making more. This stand up box is 4" high and holds a handful of candy nicely.
Used my Stampin' Up Apothecary accents framelits for the red paper with stars, and then cut the white circle with the Perfect Pennants Bigz die cut. Topped that off with a 1" wide rosette, Vintage Faceted designer button and cherry cobbler bakers twine. There you have another cute little favor that would look adorable on a plate at the 4th of July BBQ!

I still have red white and blue paper left! More to come! :)

Have a great week!
Be inspired to create!
Yes this year is flying by!!!! Memorial Day has come and gone and before you know it the 4th of July will be upon us. That being said, I have started making some patriotic party favors and banners.

Let's start with the banners. Using the pennant die cut, scallop punch, circle punch and star punch (all punches except star are Stampin' Up) The centerpiece of this banner is a rosette made with 2 - 12" X 1" strips of paper scored at every 1/2". Adhered the 2 pieces together, held into a tight circle and put hot glue in the middle and held it until it set. Finished off the centerpiee with a vintage button and cherry cobbler bakers twine.

Using the petal cone die, I put together these patriotic cones. These will hold either snack size Kit Kat bars or Twizzlers, whichever I find first :)

Made these cute boxes out of 10" X 5 1/2" pieces of heavy cardstock. Used punches and the pennant die cut to make the embellishments. I found Tootsie Rolls and saltwater taffy in star spangled wrap at Winco to put inside the boxes.
If I whip up some potato salad and barbeque some burgers and I think we have a party!!!! :)

I hope you are having a great week!
Be inspired to create!
My daughter asked me to make a card. I was honored to fulfill her request.
The wedding colors are red white and black. I came up with this card for the bride and groom.
Started with a 5" X 10" piece of white card stock , then cut a black piece of card stock with the square scallop. Embossed the black scallop square with dot embossing folder. Stamped the Mr & Mrs towels on white paper, trimmed and rounded the edges. Stamped the Mr & Mrs towels again with black ink and cut just the Mr & Mrs out with a circle punch. Finished it off by adding the tiny flowers, tiny pearl accents and a red ribbon.

Then I realized that I needed a special envelope for this 5 X 5 card. After wasting lots of paper I finally figured it out!! I can now make envelopes for any size card!
I am working on easy directions with pictures for tutorial challenged people like me!
Come back soon for that!
My stepson Zachary graduated from high school last week. (my son is Zachary too) Crazy! :)
I put myself in charge of decorations. :) As you can see the school colors are gold and purple.
So loaded with my handy Stampin' Up tools, card stock, some $ Tree items and recycled mason jars off I went!
Lets start with the mason jars. Used framelits and a congratulations stamp to make the main pick in the jar. Added a couple flags, made a belly band, filled the jar with purple shreds and finished with a layered scallop circle and a graduation cap. (the graduation cap was found at Michael's)
Then with lots of purple and yellow card stock and my pennant framelit made banners to go all around the patio.
Then we have the pedestal vase used to hold cake pops. I am certain I got this idea on Pinterest at some point. This is a $ Tree vase, adhered to a $ Tree candlestick with clear silicone. Easy peasy!
The yellow shreds were also purchased at the $ Tree.
Purchased a new toy last week! A babycakes cake pop maker. Did a trial run Wednesday so I was prepared to make the purple and yellow pops you see here. These do take a little time, but well worth the result. My advice to you if you decide to try cake pops: check out some you tube tutorials for tips before you give it a try.
The cake was purchased at Costco, but we personalized it with some photo pics layered with framelit shapes all hot glued to a wooden skewer. I really liked the way this came out, and am sure we will do this again on future cakes!

Yes graduation time is upon us!!! Last year we had my daughters college and my niece's high school graduation bash!
This year my stepson Zachary is graduating from high school.
I made him this card using the school colors of purple, gold and black.
Hard to see with the black on black paper, but the 2nd layer of black paper is embossed with the square lattice embossing folder. Layered over that are purple, black and then yellow pieces of card stock cut with the Framelits labels collection. Dimensionals were used under the black embossed paper and the congratulations to make the card 3 dimensional. The congratulations was stamped on whisper white paper and cut with the bitty banner framelits.
Big week ahead of us! Graduation on Thursday and the party on Saturday!
I will take pictures of the party directions to inspire you for your next party!!!

I hope you have had a lovely weekend! Have a great week too!
Be inspired to create!
Tomorrow is not only Mother's Day but my fathers 71st birthday too! Needed to make a couple of cards!
Started with this cute vintage vibe card for Mom. Used the Apothecary Accents framelits to cut the shape for the sentiment. Used the Morning Post Alphabet stamp set for MOM. I finished it off with a flower made with the Boho flower punch, and topped that off with a Dahlia. Added a little bling on the sides with Rhinestone jewels. My mom is truly beautiful inside and out, just had to reiterate that with the card. :)

Then on to Dad's card. Started with a photo of him at I believe 4 years old. I embossed the card stock with the stripes folder, used the ovals collection framelits for the photo and background paper.
Used the Itty Bitty Banners stamp set and Bitty Banner framelits for the Happy Birthday and finished it off with Early Espresso bakers twine. I love using photos as elements on my cards. I really think it makes the card special. I am sure my dad will like this one!
Hello there! Are you all ready for Easter? I am not! Have lots to do today because Easter is at our house tomorrow. However, all the gifts and cards are ready to go for our guests!

Let's start with the cards for my parents and Johns mom. Started with card stock embossed with polka dots. Used the window embossing folder on the white piece of paper. Stamped the elegant egg, put a rhinestone in the middle of the egg and added a piece of ribbon and a bow to finish it off.. Sadly, this stamp is no longer available from Stampin' Up, but I love it so much I had to use it!!! Thanks again Julia for this great retired set!!!

Next we have cute little window boxes that I learned to make a couple of weeks ago at Stampin' Up demonstrator Karen Flores home. Thanks Karen! I love this box!

They will be filled with foil wrapped chocolate eggs. Yum!

These are going to all the ladies in the house tomorrow.

Lastly, I have the perfect gift for my teenage children and adult daughter. Since they are older, I thought these recycled mason jars would be perfect! I punched 3 graduated sizes of Stampin' Up circle scallops for the lids, topped with yellow buttons for my 2 young men and dahlias for the 2 young ladies . Put a layer of jelly beans in the bottom of each jar, circled peep bunnies around the sides and poured a few more jelly beans in the middle to keep the bunnies standing.
Wrapped bakers twine around the jar a few times and hung a Happy Easter tag on each one.
We are going to pick up Jamba Juice gift cards to go with the jars today.
I woke up at 5:30 this morning (I must be nuts!) with a great idea to make little matching scallop envelopes to hold the gift cards in. And there you have it a super easy, cute gift!
Mason jars are so versatile, you could adjust this project for just about any occasion!!!
I am so glad to have seen all the great ideas for mason jars at Pinterest!
Gotta love Pinterest!!!
Today is my good friend Melinda's birthday. I made her this bright and springy card and gift.
Sadly that awesome egg stamp is no longer available through Stampin' Up :(.
When I saw a project with that egg I fell in love with it but I couldn't find it in any catalog!
I was very sad. Luckily my crafty friend Julia had the set and was kind enough to share it with me!
Thank you Julia!!!!
Although the egg stamp is not available, all the other elements in the card are.
I used the elegant butterfly punch, the pennant punch, itty bitty shapes punch, bitty banners stamp and die cut, textured impressions embossing folder, bakers twine and some rhinestone jewels for both of these projects. I am finding that I love the embossing folders so much that I rarely do a project anymore without them.

I think this project is crisp bright and springy, perfect for a pre- Easter birthday.
Happy Birthday Melinda!!
I do have Spring Fever! Which for me means, putting out the Easter Decorations, and creating stuff! :)
I know I may be a little late out of the gate to get lots and lots of items made before Easter. But I have started and already have lots of cute things put together.

This is a recycled project. I have been saving empty mason jars for this cute project I found on Pinterest at Dixie Delights blog. She has some really cute Easter ideas, you should check out the link.
For this project you need an empty clean mason jar. Fill it with jelly beans, peeps, chocolate bunnies on a bed of Easter grass, whatever you like! The possibilities are endless!
I found that the large 2 2/8" Stampin' Up scallop circle punch cuts a piece of card stock to the perfectly on the mason jar lid. I then punched a 1 3/4" scallop circle and the new 7/8" scallop circle to create the layered top on the lid. I added a Vintage Faceted Designer button with pool party bakers twine to finish off the lid.
Tied a piece of ribbon around the neck and used the large oval punch to create the Happy Easter hang tag. Sooo cute and sooo easy!
I have lots of ideas for different ways to layer candy in these jars! Can't wait to make more!
Thanks for the idea Dixie Delights!
Hello and Happy Tuesday!
Yesterday was my parents 52nd anniversary! I can hardly believe that is has already been 2 years since we celebrated their big 50th on a cruise ship! I am constantly astonished at how quickly time passes.
In honor of their anniversary I made them this card. After 52 ears of marriage they are still in love, so I thought the two love birds were appropriate :)

These are the Stampin' Up tools used to make this card:
Stampin' up cardstock for all but the birds. The I love you paper was purchased at Joannes.
Large oval punch 119855
Bird builder punch 17191
Full heart punch 119883
Labels collection framelits 125598
Lacy Brocade Embossing Folder 127819
Affection Collection Stamp Set 127949

I hope you have a great week!
Be inspired to create!
And as always, drop me a line if you would like more information on this project.
Hello! Hope you are doing well!
I am doing well and enjoying a day at home alone! Pretty rare unless I am sick!
However today, I was able to get some cleaning and organizing done.
And even snuck in a little crafting.

I didn't make this card today (show you that later:)
This card was for my niece Sydneys birthday.
Used several different elements to make this one:
Scallop punch, Butterfly punch, embossing folder, Itty Bitty framelits, bakers twine and rhinestones.

I liked it, nice bright and cheery!

Be back soon!
I am a huge fan of Pinterest. I get so many great ideas there! I am so addicted that I can not go more than a few days without perusing everything to get more ideas!

I found this cute Valentine Chalkboard printable there. The gals at Just Plain Cute were kind enough to post this free printable. I printed it out in 8X10 size and put into a recycled frame my mom gave me. The cute pennant banner was made with Stampin' Up paper, pennant punch, small heart punch and bakers twine. I added vintage faceted buttons on the top and bottom of the frame to finish it off. I later found metal easels at Hobby Lobby at 1/2 off!
Did I tell you that I love Hobby Lobby too! :)

Thanks for stopping by!
Hard to believe we are just a little over a week away from Christmas. Are you ready?
I am getting pretty close. I think I am actually done with my shopping and non profit projects.
I look forward to baking and making goodies next weekend.

I hadn't sent any Christmas cards out for the last few years, however this year I got it together and made these simple yet elegant cards. I am finding that I love the embossed look on cardstock and rarely make any cards without it anymore. I used the polka dot folder and vintage wallpaper folders for these. I also love the glitter paper and used it for these. Not much else to put these two together.
Oh and did I mention I love the Cherry Cobbler bakers twine? :)
Hello There! I sure hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving!
In addition to a wonderful Thanksgiving with family, I also had a week off with my husband. We went to Monterey for a few days and then we did some Christmas shopping and this n that. It was a wonderful week! I am sad that I have to go back to work tomorrow! :(

In addition to our little getaway I have also been getting a start on my Christmas creations for giving!
I used the Stampin' Up fancy favor bigz die cut to start these little boxes off. With some texture added to the card stock, punches, die cuts, and a couple of stamps I came up with these!
They will be filled with Churro Chex Mix (a recipe I found on Pinterest).
I want to fill a big basket with lots of goodies packed into my Stampin' Up creations to take to the party.

I love Christmas! Keeping in mind the reason for the season, I also love all of the decorations and all the craftiness and baking and candy making I get to do!
Do you have a favorite item or treat that you make for Christmas?

Happy Thanksgiving! I don't know about you, but as I get older, each year seems to pass by faster. It is downright scary how quickly time flies by!
I just can't believe that Thanksgiving is only a few days away!!!
Although I don't have Thanksgiving at my house, I have started a little tradition of making favors to put at every place setting. This will be my 3rd year with this new tradition.
I made these very simple open top boxes for 12 people and will fill them with mints and candy.

To make these simple and cute little boxes I used the following Stampin' Up supplies:
Fancy Favor Bigz XL die cut
Labels Collection Framelits
Champagne Glimmer Paper
Early Espresso Card Stock
Linen Thread
Early Espresso Ink
(sorry the stamp is retired)
Crumb Cake Scalloped Tulle Ribbon
Dimensionals
(I also used a hot glue gun)
Hello there! Haven't been posting much, but I have been crafting!
My daughter coaches a junior varsity girls volleyball team and I wanted to make her girls a little something for Halloween.
I started with cute little bags purchased 3 for $1.00 at Hobby Lobby. (Love these little bags, need to go back and stock up for Christmas)
Got my Stampin' Up supplies together. (Black cardstock, white cardstock, designer series paper, spider web folder, Lucky Limeade bakers twine, stamps, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/4" scallop circle punch, black stamp pad and adhesive and lime green tissue paper). Came up with this cute little bag! Filled them with candy and topped off with a little square of tissue paper and sent them off with my daughter today.

I have been only doing posts on projects lately, but I have to throw in a little bit of personal stuff today. Please humor me. :)

First I have to say how proud I am of my adult daughter, She is a college graduate working 2 jobs.
One of her jobs is coaching the Salinas High School junior varsity volleyball team. She is a coach and a role model to these girls and that is just one of the things that makes me so proud of her!

Second good thing to post is that my husband and I celebrated our 1st wedding anniversary on October 9th. We had a wonderful little getaway and look forward to many more anniversaries and "little getaways".

I hope you have had a nice weekend and have a wonderful week!
Hi there! Hope you have had a good week and have enjoyed the cooler weather! I sure have!
As a crafter there is nothing that makes me happier than when someone loves what I have made them, or someone asks me for help with a project.
These gift tags were made for a friend who had some thank you packages to put together. She text me a picture of her gift bags and coordinating tissue and the sentiment she wanted.
I came up with these. She really liked them! That makes me happy!
Even though Fall officially began last week, I had already decorated the inside of our house for Fall/Halloween on September 1st.
I didn't do any outside decorating until this weekend. I didn't want to embarrass my son, who thought I was crazy decorating on September 1st. Guess he just doesn't quite understand how much I love fall and Halloween! :)
I digress, I actually am writing this post to share with you a cute little banner I made for the mantle.
Of course I used all of my handy Stampin' Up tools for this project and I think it came out really cute!

Here is what I used:
Morning Post Alphabet Stamps
2-3/8" scallop circle punch
1-1/4" circle punch
Spider Web embossing folder
Perfect Pennants Bigz L Die Cut
Calypso Coral Bakers Twine
1/2" scallops dots ribbon Basic Black
Howlstooth and Scaringbone Designer Series Paper
(adhesive - dimensionals)
Yes folks, you can embellish a box a bag a card, just about anything with these circle flowers!
They are quick and easy to put together! Thanks to Nikki Toll for showing me how to make them at her flower class last month.
As you see in the photo, all I needed was a glue gun, a scoring tool and a silicone craft sheet. You will also need 2 strips of scrap paper 12" long, and 1/2" to however thick you want to create these. The flowers in this photo were made with 1 1/2" strips.
You then take these strips of paper and score at 1/4" to or 1/2" intervals the entire length of the strip.
I tried 1/4" and 1/2" and I prefer 1/2".
Heat up your glue gun, fold your strip of paper at each score over lap and secure each of the ends of the strips so you end up with a big circle. Lay the circle down on the silicone craft sheet and hold into the shape of the tight circle. Put hot glue in the middle and hold until it tries, and then peel off the silicone sheet flip over and put a little hot glue in the center of the flower on the other side. Now you can glue a button or whatever else you would like to finish off the middle and there you have it! All done!
Soooo easy! I must also say that this new silicone craft sheet is wonderful! Your hot glue will peel right off when dried!
(Scoring tool and Silicone Craft pad are Stampin Up tools-which you can earn for free by hosting a workshop! Contact me for details)
