Happy Easter Gifts for the Family!

Hello there!  Are you all ready for Easter?  I am not!  Have lots to do today because Easter is at our house tomorrow.  However, all the gifts and cards are ready to go for our guests!

Let's start with the cards for my parents and Johns mom. Started with card stock embossed with polka dots.  Used the window embossing folder on the white piece of paper.  Stamped the elegant egg, put a rhinestone in the middle of the egg and added a piece of ribbon and a bow to finish it off..  Sadly, this stamp is no longer available from Stampin' Up, but I love it so much I had to use it!!! Thanks again Julia for this great retired set!!!

Next we have cute little window boxes that I learned to make a couple of weeks ago at Stampin' Up demonstrator Karen Flores home.  Thanks Karen!  I love this box!
They will be filled with foil wrapped chocolate eggs. Yum!
These are going to all the ladies in the house tomorrow.

Lastly, I have the perfect gift for my teenage children and adult daughter.  Since they are older, I thought these recycled mason jars would be perfect!  I punched 3 graduated sizes of Stampin' Up circle scallops for the lids, topped with yellow buttons for my 2 young men and dahlias for the 2 young ladies . Put a layer of jelly beans in the bottom of each jar, circled peep bunnies around the sides and poured a few more jelly beans in the middle to keep the bunnies standing.
Wrapped bakers twine around the jar a few times and hung a Happy Easter tag on each one.
We are going to pick up Jamba Juice gift cards to go with the jars today.
I woke up at 5:30 this morning (I must be nuts!) with a great idea to make little matching scallop envelopes to hold the gift cards in.  And there you have it a super easy, cute gift!
Mason jars are so versatile, you could adjust this project for just about any occasion!!!
I am so glad to have seen all the great ideas for mason jars at Pinterest!
Gotta love Pinterest!!!
I wish you and yours a Very Happy and Blessed Easter!
 Be inspired to create!

Happy Easter and a Big Thank You!!!

First things first, a big huge thank you to my good friend and mentor Julia! She wanted to be sure that as a new demonstrator I had a very important tool in my collection!
She bought me the Stampin' up score tool and the diagonal plate to go with it!
I don't know how I managed without these great tools!!! I can now make my own envelopes to match my cards!!! And that is only the beginning! More to come!

I had already made these Easter cards for my parents and mother-in-law. This morning I took out my new handy scoring tool and diagonal plate and made matching envelopes. I am sure they will love these!!!!

Have a Happy Easter!
Be inspired to create!

An elegant egg!

This picture just does not do justice to this beautiful elegant egg basket! Went to Lynn Hampton's monthly Stampin' Up club last night and made this beauty! This is gold paper with gold embossing powder. We added the egg tag with a couple of gem brads to finish off our elegant egg basket. I have been afraid of embossing with a heat tool, but found that it wasn't so difficult after all. All of the supplies were from Stampin' Up of course. We used an egg stamp, the lovely swirl stamp, heat gun, gold paper, double sided adhesive, gem brads and gold embossing powder. I think I have officially overcome my fear of embossing with a heat gun and look forward to using the technique to make wedding invitations. Have a wonderful weekend! Be back soon!

A Crafty Sisters Jelly Bean Topiary

Spotted this lovely jelly bean topiary over at Crafty Sisters Blog and had to try to make my own!

For this project I needed 1- 3" craft ball, floral foam, a wooden dowel, floral tape, 1 12" piece of ribbon, 1 small clay pot, off white paint, pink paint, 1 bag of jelly beans, hot glue gun and lots of hot glue!! The most time consuming part of the project was gluing the jelly beans. (got everything except the jelly beans at Joannes, purchased the jelly beans for $1.00 a bag at Super Wal-Mart)

It was worth the time! I have supplies to make 5 more! Can't wait!!!

A big thank you to the Crafty Sisters for all of the great projects they share! They have a great variety of projects and an Etsy shop! Head on over to their blog, you will not be disappointed!

Springy Pastel Mini Milk Cartons

Here are the finished milk cartons (batch #1). Didn't have any Easter stamps, but had some pretty flowery scrapbook paper and the butterfly stamp and punch from Stampin' Up. The die cut for the milk carton is from Stampin' Up as well. The die cut machine used is the Sizzix Big Kick from Michael's, purchased today with a 40% off coupon. Score!!! These little milk cartons are absolutely adorable! Looking forward to making many more of these little cuties. I am loving these spring colors!!! Really perk me up after all the rain we have had the last 2 weeks!!!!
