A luncheon and a product review

My sweeties mom is having a Valentines day themed luncheon tomorrow. She purchased these trays at IKEA for the luncheon. She wanted to dress them up a bit, so we added some heart shaped doilies and a few hearts. Cute, but not too much.
She is having 8 guests and was going to go to See's candy for some treats. I couldn't let her do that! I made these little boxes and filled them with Hershey nuggets.
Much cuter than See's ;) and a little less expensive. Now for my bargain buy/product review of the month!!! The crafty twins Judy and Julia clued me into this one. This is the Martha Stewart scoring tool. It fits a 12 X 12 sheet of paper and the measurements are clearly marked. There is a place to store the tool. The best part of this is that with a 50% off coupon at Michael's, this little prize cost me a total of $10.89.
And it works great!!! Perfect for all those boxes I love to make!!!
If you have ever looked into a scoring tool, you probably saw the Scor-Pal. That item cost about $40.00. I just didn't want to spend the money on it! So I am very happy with the Martha Stewart version!

  1. Your boxes turned out so cute, John's Mom's friends are going to be so much more impressed than if she had gone to See's!

And the Martha Stewart scoring tool is awesome, I like it better than my Score-Pal because it gives exact measurements. I was always confused on the SP-P because you never could really tell for sure if the measurement was at the number or the dot next to it.

I'm so glad you took advantage of the 50% off at Michael's ~ that was a "steal"...

You're doing great with your crafting, I'm so proud of you. :o)
